Last week, our first-year trainees spent two days at a seminar focusing on developing a conscious and responsible approach to health and safety at work.
In addition to the basics of occupational safety, the trainees engaged intensively with their own roles and responsibilities within the company’s HSE system, exploring these in depth using examples from everyday working life. During group work, hazards were analysed, solutions devised and these subsequently presented.
As part of a workplace safety tour, the trainees learnt to identify typical hazards in the working environment and familiarised themselves with the purpose and correct use of personal protective equipment. A particular highlight was the hazard memory game, which allowed them to apply what they had learnt in a fun way.
The annual HSE seminar with first-year trainees makes an important contribution to developing a safety-conscious mindset. By raising awareness at an early stage, the apprentices are empowered to take responsibility for themselves and others and to actively contribute to a safe working environment at CORDENKA. 🤝🏼
