PLA-CORDENKA®

Cellulose fiber reinforced polylactide development product for injection molding.

PLA-CORDENKA® is a technical bio-composite for injection molding. Polymer matrix, reinforcement fiber and their composite are bio-based and bio-degradable. CORDENKA® cellulose rayon fibers significantly improve the impact resistance of PLA. Further, they can function as nucleating agents, induce crystallinity and raise the heat resistance of PLA to the level of an engineering plastic, if appropriate processing is applied.

The CORDENKA PLA-composite is the sustainable, fossil carbon free material alternative for the production of technical injection molded parts such as electronic part housings. Besides its physical properties, as displayed in our preliminary material data sheet, the bio-composite material stands out with its unique touch, feeling unlike plastic or wood, but like sustainable innovation.

PP-CORDENKA®

Cellulose fiber reinforced polypropylene development product for injection molding.

As cellulose fiber reinforced injection-molding material, PP-CORDENKA® combines light weight construction potential with aesthetic qualities making the material applicable in visible plastic components with class-A surfaces requirements. The material performs injection molding processing capability on standard equipment.

Adjustable to metrically defined surface colors, PP-CORDENKA® can be tailored as scratch resistant, heat- and UV-stabilized, low-emission injection molding material, suitable for aesthetic applications and offering a new level of light-weight construction potential in according vehicle interior applications.
