In Obernburg, viscose production has a tradition of almost 100 years.
After a long history of changing names, CORDENKA GmbH was finally founded in 2002. The production capacity was expanded to the current level of 32,000 annual tons of rayon. Converting facilities in Poland began their operation in 2003. The CORDUS GmbH was integrated as a part of the CORDENKA Group in 2011.
Plant founded in Obernburg as a production site for textile viscose fibers.
Glanzstoffwerke start producing technical rayon.
After a period of changing names, the company CORDENKA GmbH is founded.
Converting production starts in Poland, production capacity expanded in Obernburg.
CORDUS GmbH in Mühlhausen/Thüringen becomes part of the Cordenka Group.
Starts Dipping Unit in Gorzow, Poland.
