Combating
Microplastics

Microplastic free material.

We actively contribute to improving environmental performance throughout the value chain, which in turn improves the environmental impact of our end products and enables our customers to prevent microplastic pollution.
Fossil-based fibres are made of polymers that form microplastics when they are worn down. Microplastics tend to accumulate in the environment over a long period of time. In contrast, CORDENKA® Rayon consists of biodegradable cellulose. Any material abrasion is completely bio-degraded. By using CORDENKA® Rayon, fossil fibres are replaced and the release of microplastics into the environment is minimised.

Microplastic-free due
to biodegradability

Our raw material is certified bio-based.
Our products are certified bio-degradable.

Bio-based

Cellulose is the most common biological polymer in the world and is obtained from wood. Our material is certified biobased according to ASTM D 6866:2022.

Bio-degredable

Cellulose has excellent biodegradability compared to other polymers such as PLA, PBAT or other bioplastics. In particular, our product certification according to NF T51-800:2015 in home and garden compostability emphasises the low-effort biodegradability without any aids.
