Accidents at work can happen faster than you think – especially to inexperienced employees like our first-year apprentices. To avoid long-term health problems, it is particularly important to identify and prevent hazards and risks at an early stage.
Hence our first-year apprentices were recently invited to a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) seminar – an important area that not only affects everyday working life, but also the long-term productivity and health of employees.
Here, our apprentices became little detectives 🕵
In group work, they analysed the given case studies, determined their causes and developed the corresponding safety measures. 🔍
Together with representatives of the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the raw materials and chemical industry (BG RCI), the apprentices also had the opportunity to use virtual reality glasses to experience dangerous everyday situations in road traffic in a realistic way. 🛣️
