In an increasingly globalized economy, diversity is becoming an increasingly important factor for success—not only in product development or sales markets, but also in everyday interactions in the workplace. One example of this is the long-established company CORDENKA, a leading manufacturer of industrial rayon yarns based in Obernburg. Here, people from 19 different countries work together successfully—across all hierarchical levels.

What makes CORDENKA special is not only its international workforce, but also the company’s openness to talent – regardless of origin or language. Numerous managers have a migrant background, some of whom started their careers at CORDENKA without fully mastering the German language and worked their way up to management positions through diligence, competence, and commitment.

The managers come from Turkey, Croatia, Poland, and many other countries. Their paths are often marked by adaptation, language learning, and further professional training – and above all by a strong determination to establish themselves professionally in a new country.

For many employees, joining CORDENKA was their first contact with the German labor market – and often the beginning of a new phase in their lives. Industrial activity in the Lower Main region became a bridge to German society: work became a driving force for integration and the company became a place of learning that has an impact far beyond professional skills.

Particularly noteworthy is the corporate culture that promotes this development. Appreciation, respect, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to working with one another characterize daily interactions. It is not a question of leveling cultural differences, but of understanding them as a resource. This openness creates a climate of trust in which potential can unfold – and the company itself benefits from this in the form of committed employees, lower staff turnover, and a lively, creative working environment.

CORDENKA’s experience shows that integration and economic success are not opposites, but can reinforce each other. In times of skills shortages and demographic change, the ability to recognize and promote talent regardless of origin is becoming a decisive competitive advantage.
