Scale Energy CORDENKA

CORDENKA is providing unused land and existing industrial infrastructure at the site of its subsidiary CORDUS GmbH in Mühlhausen, thereby laying the groundwork for the rapid deployment of a 4 MWh battery storage facility. Commissioning is scheduled for Q4 2026.

Scale Energy develops battery storage systems where grid connections and industrial infrastructure already exist, reducing project complexity and accelerating implementation.

Christoph Kößler, Managing Director of Scale Energy, emphasises in the press release that the project in Mühlhausen demonstrates how quickly battery storage systems can be implemented when existing infrastructure is used intelligently.

Dr. Christoph Partes, Sustainability & Compliance Manager at CORDENKA, also highlights the significance of the project: by making unused infrastructure available, CORDENKA is contributing to a particularly resource-efficient implementation.

Together, CORDENKA and Scale Energy showcase how industry and developers can deliver flexible and system‑relevant energy solutions.
